We should leave the 99 for the 1. The Parable of Peter Boykin.

Go Right News, which is run by Peter Boykin, is a great opportunity to leave the “99” of the conservative movement and go after the “1”.

Peter Boykin is a political commentator in North Carolina who is openly Gay and a conservative. He is the founder of Go Right News, Gays for Trump, and a Log Cabin Republican.

Boykin is a staunch conservative and has a long track record for pushing conservative values. He also is an openly gay Catholic. This is where the subversion and heretical ideologies cross over into the conservative movement and erode the foundations.

Boykin has written many articles questioning Christians’ views on homosexuality and the LGTBQ movement. These articles, with titles like, WHY ARE CHRISTIANS HYPOCRITES AND JUDGMENTAL, GOD LOVES US ALL THE REAL QUESTION OF THE BIBLE AND HOMOSEXUALITY, and THE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE IS A PART OF THE CONSTITUTION AND IT PROMOTES RELIGIOUS LIBERTY.

These articles promote a pro-homosexual agenda while augmenting biblical ideologies to match his lifestyle and argue that homosexuality can endure within the conservative movement and is reconcilable as a christian.

First, let’s look at his article, THE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE IS A PART OF THE CONSTITUTION AND IT PROMOTES RELIGIOUS LIBERTY.

Boykin articulates his position about being thankful, “I thank God that the birth of our nation came from our faith in Christianity and GOD.” Which is a direct acknowledgment that our nation was a direct result of following 1 particular religion. The God of Jacob, Isiac, and the father of Jesus Christ. Boykin then begins to outline how the separation of church and state was defined to keep the United States from becoming a theocracy. To Boykin’s point, he is correct that the first amendment clause was established by our founding fathers to ensure our new nation did not mirror the European model of theocracy becoming the defacto governmental organization of any state or country. But, his argument doesn’t go far enough into the discovery of our founding or the reason why “Separation of Church and State” became part of our lexicon.

In our article on The Federalist Press, titled The Founding Fathers: America’s founding Christians, we painstakingly elaborate on how America was founded as a Christian nation. The overwhelming majority of our founding fathers were Christians and developed and established our country as a Christian nation. Boykin mentions that “Although our Founding documents notate GOD many times, we recognize that GOD is not regulated to any one religion…“. Boykin either doesn’t believe his first statement that our nation was in fact a God regulated to one religion, the Christian religion; or he is purposefully twisting theology to allow for any god to be the god that our nation was founded on. This statement is an interesting look into the mindset that Boykin has used to justify his lifestyle and promote Christianity and homosexuality at the same time.

Separation of church and state was parsed from a letter that Thomas Jefferson (A founding father) wrote to the Danbury Baptists.

“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” thus building a wall of separation between Church & State“.Thomas Jefferson. Jan 1. 1802.

This response back to the Danbury Baptist association of the State of Connecticut by Jefferson is a concurrence of the opinion that the worries of the association are valid and that the newly formed nation would not become a theocracy. This statement, however, does not remove the basis of our Christian founding from government, but rather attests to the fact that our government should not regulate our religion. The fallacy and the abuse of the statement of separation of church and state is a monster lie that has been perpetuated by bad actors and those seeking to remove our Christian founding.

How can one separate the truths we hold to be self-evident in our Declaration of Independence; “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”, from the very government which exists under the Christian God? If the Christian God provides for unalienable rights, any government must first recognize that rights come from God and not man or government. This means that God is in fact woven into the very fabric of our government in the form of acknowledgment and the framework of how our government is to govern.

Thomas Jefferson writes to confirm this as well as to reassure the Danbury Baptists that our government will not replace one’s ability to follow God according to one’s choice of denomination, or the establishment of any given denomination over another as a governmental decree. The Danbury Baptists were articulating a concern about our government establishing a denomination of Christianity rather than separating our Government from our religion.

Boykin also expresses his feelings about lukewarm and hypocritical Christians. In his article, WHY ARE CHRISTIANS HYPOCRITES AND JUDGMENTAL; Boykin writes, “They might be described as hypocritical or judgmental when portrayed in ways that go against Christianity’s central tenet of love.”

This argument has been used to justify many lies and a life of sin. The argument is that Christians hate gay people and go against the biblical tenet of loving one another. This is also used successfully by many within the LGBTQ movement, including our churches with statements like Love is Love and Come as you are. As Christians, we are commanded to love everyone. We are to follow Jesus in the loving of the sinner and the saint. We are instructed to value love and cherish it. To freely give it and hope for its reciprocation.

Many verses speak of love. Do everything in love.-1 Corinthians 16:14. We love because He first loved us.- 1 John 4:19. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. -John 15:12 and so forth. There are over 100 verses speaking to Love. This love comes unconditionally from the Father but does carry a cost. We are charged to, Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. -Romans 12:9. This means that we are to love the sinner but hate the sin. Boykin tries to change the meaning of homosexuality by stating, “While the six passages that address same-sex eroticism in the ancient world are negative about the practices they mention, there is no evidence that these in any way speak to same-sex relationships of love and mutuality. On the contrary, the amount of cultural, historical, and linguistic data surrounding how sexuality in the cultures of the biblical authors operated demonstrates that what was being condemned in the Bible is very different than the committed same-sex partnerships we know and see today.”

It is crystal clear within many books of the bible that Man should not lay with another Man. The book of Vayiqra (Leviticus), specifically in chapter 18, outlines the laws of Moses given to him by the same God of the founding of our nation says as such. You shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination.– Vayiqra (Leviticus) 18:22. I could continue on with many other verses but this law, handed down to Moses, should suffice. Homosexuality abomination is an act. It is a choice. It is a decision to engage in Sin and create separation from God. Mature Christians will challenge the Sin within each other and still love the sinner. Boykin, like most Christians, has probably suffered pain and abuse to make the choice of being a homosexual. Trauma leads to trauma. Boykin has also met many carnal and immature Christians who don’t understand how to hate sin rather than the sinner. This breeds contempt of those outside the Christian doctrine to chastise us and find loopholes (love) to justify sin.

Boykin has fallen prey to the devil and the enemy by believing the lies about himself and casting those lies into the world. We have all fallen short of the glory of God. We are all sinners. But, if we are to call ourselves Christians, and furthermore be disciples as God has outlined for us to be, rather than a religious body or spirit, we must go after the 1. Boykin is North Carolina’s 1 that the body of believers must rally behind to showcase the true power of redemptive love and bring it back to the flock. If Peter Boykin continues to live in this sin then the body of Christ and the conservative movement must reject him. “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.” -Mattithyahu (Matthew) 18: 15-17

Let us attempt to get the 1 and bring him back into the fold of the 99. The Body of Christ needs all the members we can get right now.
